Enom is great if you can pay the up front cost, RegisterFly my account was transfered from them to godaddy because of some legal issues(you can do the research in google) RegisterFly was in so I'm guessing all users had the option to switch. I am geussing you pulled this from the whmcs options? If so I am going with ResellOne it seemed the best option(imo,we will see though)just have a bit of a process to get started.

IMHO. There is no clear winner to the question of "who has the best domain reseller program". You won't go too far wrong with the top three. eNom, WildWestDomains, and Directi. You'll find something there to meet to your a) budget, b) cash flow, c) control panel preferences.

    WildWestDomains / 4.5 star / 5 star / 4 star / 3.5 star

    NO experience for others

The top three names WildWestDomains, Enom and ResellerClub - Irrespective of the parent company you are associated, your approach and tactics for the reselling business is what that will drive your business. Be consistent and do all you best to bring traffic to your site - online or offline.

    Best wishes,

    With all of these ...
price is largely irrelevant, there's not much between them and its not worth risking your business or reputation to save $1 a domain !
quickness - apart from Nominet they're all instantaneous

    » Nominet
    usablility 10/10, support 9/10
Cant say enough good things about the .uk registrar

    » Enom
    usablility 8/10, support 9/10
Been a happy enom ETP for several years, there has been the odd glitch but a ticket or call to support has always fixed the issue promptly.

    » OpenSRS
    usablility 6/10, support 8/10
Respectable but expensive, awkward when certain functions are only available to the end-registrant (like EPP codes) means more management time. Had some issues 4 years ago support wasnt so great, so migrated all the domain only registrations to enom. Still have an active account for their SSL certs and email systems. Met the domains and product-development staff @ the LINX event recently, very approachable.

    » DirectI
    usablility 2/10, support never used
Cant stand the orderbox software, the "user-experience" is appalling. Unusal methodologies regarding the API make it more difficult to integrate. Cheap, but IMHO i'd rather pay more and deal with enom.

    » Stargate
usablility not used since takeover, support never used
OK, very similar to Directi, now owned by UK2

    » RegisterFly

After the recent fiasco's with RF one to avoid.

Last time I looked into nominet, membership was quite expensive, is there a 'way around this' ?

Basicaly I'd agree, enom are rock solid & feel rock solid, support can sometimes be sluggish, but is always accurate.

Can't imagine anyone here would argue with that

No. £400 joining fee + £100/year membership IMHO is not exactly a lot of money to invest on your domain business, but if you dont want to go that route, then finding a reliable/reputable/long-standing Nominet member to process your .uk's through will achieve almost the same result - I'd suggest someone with real people on the phones

They use the same LogicBoxes control panel as Directi/ResellerClub. Which I hate also.

    » Enom - Reseller / price=4 / usability=4 / support=? / quickness (of support?)=?

I just signed up under a reseller ($8.95/domain) so I can not comment other than they charge a 3% fee to fill account with a credit card. No refunds and points not cash system. I do not like that feature so don't know if I will go with them to actually register a domain...?

    » Stargate - Reseller / price=5 / usability=2 / support=3[under StarGate] / quickness (of support?)=3[under StarGate]

I have had them for about two years. They charge $6.95/domain and were taken over by US2.net. They use LogicBoxes which are functional but not easy or time saver. Not sure if I will stay with them since Buy-outs tend to go bad...?

I would add SRSPlus which is a Network Solutions Reseller program with $8.45/domain rates. I have been with them for about two years. VERY pleased with their service and easy control panel. I have transfered domains in and out without a problem.

    SRSPlus - Reseller / price=4 / usability=5 / support=4 / quickness (of support?)=4
