how can i retrieve my mysql server?

    Hi,

    i take a mistake,

1)i want to delete a folder in /var/lib/mysql,

when i use "ls" to check ,it shows with (space)foldername,

i use rm -rf ./foldername, it failed,

and i use rm -rf ./(space)foldername, oh no,all the files in the /var/lib/mysql are gone,

2)i do not have the backup files of the folder at all.

3)how can i rebuild the system files of the mysql server with a smooth way?

    thanks

No you don't have to re-install the server but your databases are lost.

If there was no database and you are using cpanel, use the following script to re-install mysql.

    /scripts/mysqlup --force
