    Top providers

    Hi,

We *might* be switching provider. We're looking for a machine with 4gB's RAM, quad core if possible. We've got custom quotes around $150-$200 from Pacific Rack and WebNX. We'd like to know peoples experience with both PC and WebNX.

Of course, we're looking to look at other hosts We want reputable hosts with good reviews, a good uptime guarantee (PC offer 99.999%), and competitive pricing. Thanks people!

You might take a look at LimestoneNetworks. I've had a server with them for a few months now and have been nothing but happy. They seem to be on top of things. Umm...Burst might be another company to look at.

Do a search here as hiVelocity mentioned. 4gb ram and quad core for $200 is pretty good in my opinion. Were you quoted a core2quad by chance or a xeon?

WebNX is good, I am not sure about PacificRack though.

We had some servers with SteadFast Networks a few months ago, their service & uptime was excellent.

PS. They have 100% Uptime SLA for dedicated servers,

Core2Quad from WebNX and Xeon from Pacific Rack. Any thoughts on Caro.net? I'll do a search too

I would recommend WebNX, I've been there for almost a year now, with multi servers and can't say but good things about them.

Not sure if they have the same hardware at your price point but I'd add voxel and steadfast to your list.

Strong recommendation for Webnx. I have had several servers there. I would like to try pacificrack as well but their sales guys don't like to answer.

    Hi!
I did have some experience with Caro.net last year. I came in on their first month free deal. The service was excellent..however..sometimes my server at dediwebhost was faster than my caro server..download-speed wise.

My biggest concern was a lack of TOS/AUP at the time...and discontinued service. They now have a TOS/AUP easily accessable..it just seemed so odd not to have that.

Really depends where you want your server to be housed. On the east coast I go with reliableservers/choopa in the mid west with limestone and on the westcoast awknet. These companies have served me pretty well and have always been rather quick to resolve my issues

I have personally been pretty happy with my servers at jaguarpc. You may want to take a quick look at them.
