    Moving Accounts HyperVM

Say we have server 1 in a DC, and want to move it to server 2 in another DC, how can we do this? I've heard of the "live migration" tool, would this be the one?

    Thanks!

You can use the live migration or you can do manual migration. Generally I would recommend a manual migration then a manual HyperVM migration

could we just zip the /vz/private/vpsid folder and unzip to another openvz node? it will do it?

what is the reason of preferring manual over built-in hypervm functionality?

HyperVM basically makes a tar ball of the system and copies it over which is fine however a manual migration using vzmigrate can be more effective depending on the space free on /

vzmigrate is a good choice if you are doing mass moves as you can script around it with ssh keys. Single moves then hypervm is fine
