Looking for hosting billing program which discards non orders

I need a hosting billing software that does not allow fake orders to be listed in the database. An order page similar to that used by bluehost, hostrocket.

I have tried CE and WHMCS and they tend to save the info of anyone who goes through the order process but do not make a payment. It then alerts them via email continually. I just want the order discarded if no payment is made. One reason for this is that they collect the user info in one step then asks for payment details in another step. The system used by the hosts mentioned includes the payment form on the same page as the user details and I would like to find something with similar functions.

Try www.machsol.com's eJadSPM billing software. I think it does what you require.

Modernbill does not accept clients into the system unless payment credentials are provided at checkout. You then review clients in the dashboard and can mark clients as fraud or canceled if you wish to terminate that client that does make it into the system.

Ubersmith's current order process will place clients into a 'pending' state and the users can save information to come back and continue their order later.

Neither order form matches what you want by default, but would be easy to code your own (given working PHP knowledge).

Deleting a customer who has clicked through most of your sign up process seems unwanted. If a customer clicks through 90% of your setup and stops, maybe you should email them and ask them if something was wrong or if there is anything you can do to get their business that extra 10%.

WHMCS has a new beta version 3.6 out, it might have solved its issues saving incompleted info

Modernbill seems to do what I want. I haven't tested it on my server yet so I'll decide after that. Ubersmith won't work with PHP5. eJadSPM lacked required features.

I agree that it would be good to try to encourage an incomplete order but what is happening is competitors (I think) who know the 'loop hole' of WHMCS do the 'fake' order process (I've had 32 to date) then get immediate access to my client area and download the files available to clients only. Then it is such a task to find and delete them. WHMCS would certainly be ideal if I could just close that hole. The beta version 3.6 didn't address this issue.

Worth downloading the trial and giving it a test to see if it suits you and your business.

Not that it helps you now, but it "will" at some point, I've been told this is something they are working on.

Also consider that there are many scripts out there (MB and Ubersmith included) where the ideal environment is with their particular required version of PHP running as a module and not CGI. Obviously this could get off topic, but in that regard... you'd run into issues with running a standard cPanel box, PHP4 & 5, and MB & Uber (or MB/Uber and another piece of software with opposite requirements).

Well I installed Modernbill and it is exactly what I want and even had two additional features which were also a need, where it includes a virtual terminal and a means to let the client choose their Cpanel username instead of the default first 8 characters of the domain. However, I ran into 500 server errors when creating hosting products and I couldn't find a solution at MB's site so I'm stuck and the 10 day trial is about over.

Its not a bug, its just how it works. 3.6 is no different with this process AFAIK.

This forum isn't the place to cover it, but shoot me a PM if you'd like and I'll take a quick look with you. The resolution will depend if you've checked your server logs as of yet, and your current server config that MB is on.

Have you tried WHMAP? That software can be configured to omit incomplete orders.
