hosting company near the US, but not in the US --- advice please

Hello,

I must move my site to a dedicated server near the US.
As I run adsense in my site, it seems to be wise to avoid US hosting companies, so I wont have to pay any US tax.

Canada seems to be a good option.

I will need:
- a virtual linux dedicated sever, with root shell access (I will need to run some perl scripts)

- a common webhosting service with php+mysql

Can you give me some advice?

Thank you,

Chemi Chon

Use the "find a host" feature and you will surely get what you want!

Good luck dude!

Well, most of my traffic is for US based users, so I think Canada would be a rather good option.

Thank you!

I don't thin that you would have any troubles with traffic if you choose European web host. Canada is fine however. But outsourcing hosting solution outside of the contry do not make you an alien, at least not for IRS. You still pay taxes on Adwords if you are U.S. citizen or resident.

dawhb is correct in this case.
Just because the infrastructure is outside the US doesn't mean the revenue isn't being made in the US. In fact, google requires your SSN.

It shouldn't really affect speed to much for a normal website if its hosted in Europe.

STAY AWAY FROM CANACA.

Simply unreliable. Always down and zero support.

They post that they have a 1800 emergency number... YA RIGHT! Try to call them and see what it says: send an email.

What a bunch of thieves & crooks.

Lamp.

If you live in the US you can't escape the tax. The only way I can think of to escape it is have a friend in another country use his/her adsense account then send you the money.

Even then, you can be charged on the transaction, and the income is still taxable.

Trying to evade taxes is like trying to evade death. It's not possible for that long.

I also have bad reviews for canaca from the story I got from one of my friends that had a contract with them.

Cartika clustered hosting might be a solution for you.

the US Govt was after him for 30 or 40 years. Eventually they caught him. Money Laundering

There's no time limit when evading death. That is the problem. But you only need to evade taxes until you die. Much more doable.
