    Question Want to include db from local site on 2nd site

    I have a site with a database on my vps.
    Now I'd like to include that on another local site on my vps.

    I've tried it that way
    include "http://domain.com/database.php";
    include "/path/to/public_html/connect.php";

    Anyway I don't like the idea to enable URL file-access.

    Is there another way to solve that?

    Thanks,
    Oliver

    If they ara running with the same user you could include it with absolute path
    /path/to/public_html/database.php
    If they are running under another user you should fix the file access so that the user of the second site can read the files of the first site

    Yes another user "owns" them.
    I haven't found out how to assign two owners thou.

    Well you can have them in the same group and let the group have read access but this is not *so* secure

    Why don't you just copy the files in question over to the other site as well?
