    1TB Backup service?

So we are switching DCs and have 1TB of data to backup.

We've been trying to use S3 but the upload on is so pathetically slow, it will take a multiple days just to finish the upload.

Has anyone used any other affordable yet reliable backup service?

    Thanks!

Right now we are moving DCs so we're focused on the short term. After that we'll figure out what the long-term solution should be.

That's pretty scary... backups should be both a short term and long term focus, always. Backup space is cheap... even for 1TB of space.

It's a little more complicated. We have a lot of the backup on amazon S3 but S3 is painful to use, especially for uploads.

It doesnt need to be complicated - we push a ton of data over to our gnax backup space without an issue. Other than reviewing the logs we create on both sides, backups are pretty hands off and painless for us.

I agree with a2b2. I use bqbackup. Fast, easy to use, no proprietary or non-standard software required. FTP, SCP, Rsync, SMB are the protocols I've used.

Interesting. Have dropped them a mail.

Sirius - point taken. GNAX's pricing is outside our budget, unfortunately.

    Thanks all for your help.

I think amazon S3 is pretty fair. About $150/TB/month. They have additional charges for transfer but that is not so significant.

I can second BQBackup. Fair pricing and reasonably fast network.
