    Core 2 Duo E6600, 2GB RAM, 2x 250GB Drives $159/month - Steadfast Networks, Chicago

OK, it now seems that here at Steadfast Networks the Core 2 Quads and the dual Clovertown/Harpertown systems have become more popular than the Core 2 Duos. This means we have a large inventory of Core 2 Duos left, thus I'm passing on some great discounts. Now why spend more money at SoftLayer for the same server, when we also include management services?

    The Offer:
    Core 2 Duo E6600
2.4Ghz 4MB Cache Core 2 Duo (Dual Core)
2x 250 GB SATA II Hard Drive
    2 GB ECC DDR2 SDRAM
    10 GiB Backup Space
    9 Usable IPs
    Basic Management
    DDoS Protection
    Remote Reboot
    Availability: In Stock

    2000GB Standard Bandwidth (100 Mbit/sec port) OR
    1200GB Performance Bandwidth (100 Mbit/sec port)
    - $159.95 per month | Free Setup
    Order Now

    Management Inludes:
    # Adding Additional IPs to the Server
    # Updates for Supported Software as Requested
    # Repair of Major issues with Pre-Installed Software
    # Ping/Service Monitoring
    # 24/7 Onsite Personnel
    # On-Demand DNS Management
    # On-Demand Security Assessment
    # On-Demand Antivirus Protection
    # 1 Hour System Administration/month
    # 100% Uptime SLA

    Networks:
Performance Network - AT&T, MCI/Verizon Business, Savvis, Level(3), XO, PCCW Global, TeliaSonera, GameRail, and local peering. A great network for gaming, VoIP, or anything else latency sensitive. I'll put it head-to-head with InterNAP any day.

Standard Network - Savvis, XO, PCCW Global, TeliaSonera, GameRail, and local peering. A very solid BGP mix, no Cogent or HE, with great throughput perfect for standard web traffic.

Overall, we have 32 Gbit/sec of network capacity and we are always under 40% utilization.

There is a looking glass and test files for both networks here: http://steadfast.net/corporate/lookingglass.php

    Terms

This offer is good while supplies last, though I expect that to be until about the end of February. To receive this special, you must say "C2D WHT Special - yourusername" in the comments field of the order form. As a note, these systems only fit 2 drives, so it will be assumed you want 2x 250GB drives, no more no less, unless you say otherwise in the comments field.

Note: The special includes two drives, if you are only going to use one, tell us, so we're not just wasting a drive, but you won't get a discount. If you don't have a need for the 2nd drive, maybe you should just consider using software RAID 1. Software RAID 1 can be setup at no additional charge as long as it is requested in the comments field.

I finally made the jump. Order put in about a half hour ago. I'm lagging because it is late. Not sure if I should send the advertised amount or wait for an updated invoice.
