After loading a game on my PC with XP, when I start my PC or after it times out, it pops up a window that says 'Log onto Windoews' and shows my user name w/ password box. This box has never popped up before and I want to to stop. How do I stop it?
Did windows used to automatically start or are you saying you want the 'new' log on interface back where you click your username and then type your password?
You mean you don't want Windows to prompt you for a username and password? Try: http://www.technipages.com/enabledis...indows-xp.html
Also, you may have it set to log you out when the screensaver comes up. Check that too.
Have you tried disabling password for your username ?
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts > Select username > Remove password
Log in with your username and password
