xen network performance
I read somewhere that vps xen will have lower network speed, comparing to normal dedicated server. Is it true? If yes, is there any way to improve it?

Yes Xen does have some over head about 10-15% lower than using raw hardware. This is because of the network drivers AND ebtables/iptables which every domu must go through.
There are some tweaks you can do but overall no. This is especially true for a VPS provider that needs the additional security measures in place.Larry Ludwig

The overheads really arn't that noticable, we use nodes each with a 100Mbit connection and can still pull right utpo 10M/s from a decent server inside a VPS
