    Dual Xeon3ghz 1mb dual core vs Quadcore 6600 2.4ghzx4 core 8mb

    Which one you suggest for running database server and VPS's?

    What dual-core Xeon has only 1MB of cache? Do you know the model number of that?

    Anyways, I'd pick the Quadcore as it looks to be newer technology, the Conroes and Woodcrests kick the old Xeon's.

    That would be dual cpu single core, not dual core. The c2q would be the better choice. If its for a DB make sure to get some fast drives in there.
