    Greetings,

I am thinking of getting a dedicated server for an upcoming website. this is a first project for me and i'm jumping in with both feet without even so much as dipping my toes in. Once the person that helps me with the site deploys it on my server (which i still have to find) i will be left to fend for myself.

Are there any good books, or links of where to get relevant information about security, updates, commands for the server. also, any other information that might be relevant to me would be welcomed. Thank you in advance.
    Best wishes all.

If it's Linux, even if you're not using RHEL, their sysadmin guides and other guides are a good starting point. I imagine that other OSes come with similar guides. In other words, have you considered reading the manual?
