JaguarPC poor support... recommend other VPS providers?

Really depressed with jaguarpc.com (formerly Dehe).

Today is day-number-two! and our VPS is still un-usable. Customers are upset with two days of downtime, screaming and others leaving.

Appears the server got a hardware failure, then VPS accounts/nodes reinstalled to new server. Our VPS is now an new empty shell with new IPs, waiting for data restore, & worse still with no ETA.

Tech-support are not helpful, some say watch announcement thread at their forum board for updates (so far has two updates 12hrs apart) Another tech-support, at one point said, server being rebooted etc...

PS : Please recommend other Windows VPS providers, with reliable service and support??

JaguarPC was not dehe. Jaguarpc was jaguarpc, and dehe was a different company.

When dehe closed, jaguarpc purchased dehe clients and domain, and pointed to jaguarpc.com. They basically acquired whole dehe business and merged to their own.

Shouldnt this be in the VPS forum?

Best of luck on getting this mess sorted out. Please let us know how long it ends up taking and whatever details you wish to share.

How long have you been with JaguarPC by the way? Is this the first problem you've had with them?

Give Solar VPS a go, great service, fast servers and choice of UK or US datacenters.

I moved from jaguarpc to futurehosting chicago DC, and i couldn't be happier with the move

Almost after 48hrs JaguarPC finally setup a new VPS for us on a new server, but with no data or rather did not move data from previous hard drive! Therefore we painfully re-installed everything afresh.

We've been with them for a year and although a number of times we had issues and did not like the support, were not as serious as this one. Thanks for the correction; yes they purchased DEHE (not formally DEHE).

Thanks for the recommendations, we'll definitely look at all three futurehosting, Solar VPS & cheapvps.co.uk & see what Windows VPS options we move to.

I am so sorry, as it looks that i didn't finish reading your post, futurehosting does not offers windows, if you need windows solar vps may be the right choice.

From my experience id reccomend trying:

VT6.co.uk : Absolutely Fantastic service period. Brilliant customer support, Brilliant Uptime, Brilliant VPS, Quick and highly reliable with knowledgeable friendly staff.

Steadcom: Ive used them for a month a while back, Service was good, Cant comment on support as I never asked for it during my time using them.

CreativeVPS: Havent used them personally but I have read good things about them and they use a good datacentre in Los Angeles.

A2B2/CheapVPS: Havent used them personally either but ive also read good things about them on this forum, A quick search will bring results.

To all that were affected, This issue stemmed from a crashed node, we were forced to recreate the VPS's on this node, and while the hardware was being recovered, we setup new VPS's for all the affected clients in order to speed up the recovery efforts, there was a small issue in regards to Virtuzzo access licenses, we had so many people working on this issue that no more could connect to make or do other things, Anyone familiar with Virtouzzo knows you must buy seats to the VZMC as we have multiple seats. This is the first major problem we have had a with one of our windows Nodes crashing and recovery efforts on it suffered due to the limited ability to connect to the server, We however have taken steps to rectify this problem, and if anyone still faces issues please email [email protected] and we will get some form of compensation arranged for the losses and troubles in accordance with our SLA

No, Virtuozzo is significantly better than OpenVZ on Linux. The only thing OpenVZ has going for it is cost.

OpenVZ doesn't do Windows so you have to use Virtuozzo. Even though the name is the same for Linux/Windows the underlying tech is very very different.

We had a similar issue with PowerVPS last December near holidays.
They restored the VPS but they never worked 100% again. BTW, they didnīt offer any compensation....

Anyway, it seems that Virtuozzo is a bit risky.

Last November Dediwebspace sold all their UK based VPS customers to VT6.co.uk so are you recommending VT6 as a paying customer or merely as a business partner?
