    Opensource uptime monitoring solution?

We are looking to setup two of our own servers in diffrent datacenters to take over monitoring of our servers uptime.

We currently use websitepulse.com to accomplish this but want to branch off on our own.

Anyone know any opensource apps we can use which would monitor and alert via sms, email and or phone?

We currently use Zabbix - a very complicated piece of software, but does a good job. Anotherone I know of is Nagios.

Another vote for nagios - takes a while to get used to how to configure it, but certainly gets the job done and is very extendable.

Hobbit is based on bb4 and compatible with most of the config files and even the client monitors. It is rewritten and more efficient, open source, and has cleaned up and extended a lot of aspects of it.

IF you like Nagios you should take a look at Zenoss (www.zenoss.com). They have an open source version and it will allow quite a few Nagios plugins. It is quite powerful and much easier to configure than Nagios.
