Post pictures of the most blissful places on earth.

i wanna travel and do photography when i grow older and retire..
but not just those very populated places...i want to travel to the most desolate places...starting by this place

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/blinkofaneye/369978249/

Chernobyl - ghost town due to a nuclear meltdown... in 1986 no one has lived there ever since.... because of the hazardous levels of radiation...( you are allowed to visit it but not stay too long)
like i heard of a 5 hours span your allowed to stay until your body starts to get affected by it..

    thats the first place anyways....

anyone else share the same passion?

    I wouldn't call Chernobyl 'blissful'.

I was away kayaking this weekend and this is where we started: http://www.southlakes-uk.co.uk/userreq/Grasmere0704.jpg Now that's blissful. It's Grasmere in the English Lake District, in case you're wondering.

Oechinensee is also a lovely lake. Close to Kandersteg in Switzerland. http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/9...inenseeig3.jpg

Centralia is a town not too far from here that has had an underground coal fire going on since the 60's.

I went to Dubai last year. It's a fairly busy place but has some nice photo spots.

    Beautiful pictures..
i love all of them...and i only think Chernobyl is a nice place because there are no humans there to get in the way of the photo..
also because there not there to ruin the photo

keep em coming or stop it now?

Everybody can. It's just a select few who choose to do so.

It's pretty hard for you americans to go to different countries though.

For us europeans, a one hour flight will get you to a different country where as in the states a 1 hour flight will get you to another city lol

Wow! I love decay, destruction, the crap side of town & etc, just love it! The graffiti, the grungy-ness, to me, it's beauty. And one of the places I most disparately want to go to: Chernobyl, it must be the coolest place on the earth.

Whenever I go away, my photos are of decay, industry, our ruining of the landscape. Most people think it's bad, I think its wonderful
