I had a quick search in the forum, but couldn't find any results.
I can see the domain was registered in 1999, so they seems to be in business for a good time.
I checked their site and looks to be in a different style. Their usage of 50,000,000 bytes of Storage looks confusing for me.
Do they have any money back guarantee?
I couldn't find any in their site.

I would hope he's talking about these guys:

    http://www.fiber-hosting.com/

While I presume you went to the first Google result like I initially did and ended up here:

    http://www.fiberhosting.com/

I wouldn't touch the second guys with a barge pole. Clearly trying to prey on people who don't know much about web hosting with their ridiculous "10,000,000 bytes" (10mb) plan specifications.

    GRRR
Seems right. I too fell into their trap. Their site is too confusing and misleading with not much info.
Thanks for bringing this to my notice.

I was just looking at fiber-host myself and came across this thread while researching it. I can't find any follow-up posts on experiences with them, anyone tried them yet?

I'm especially a little leery because I found in my web search that the guy running fiber-host also apparently runs a surf anonymously proxy site and a porn site. I guess their other ventures shouldn't matter if their service is good, still knowing that doesn't help my confidence without finding a review of them. Any reviews are appreciated.

http://www.fiberhosting.com is misleading and looks horrible.

http://www.fiber-hosting.com has pretty damn nice dedicated servers. I use them.

I use them for IRC. So far, extremely stable.

1gbit port, pretty nice speeds wgetting from cachefly/other test files.

Pretty sure they're on EFnet in #fiber-hosting also

Hey flashdrive, I wouldn't discount your own instinct on this. Regardless of whether the service is good or not, it's still the same guy running the other sites, and if that doesn't sit well with you I'd personally just keep looking.

    how/where you find that out?

i ordered a box from them about 6 months ago after a friend referred me. I havent had any downtime and the speeds are like what fbyne said extremely stable and 1gb links. I dont think you are right about the owner running sites, from my understanding of talking to them there is not just one owner

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like their service is okay from the posts here but for me personally the other stuff just made me uncomfortable so I went elsewhere.

I use a paid for whois service. You can search for all domains registered/owned by a person's name or email address.

    Thanks

there are plenty of free whois searches too. You don't have to pay for them.
