Dell 1850 for sale

So I want to upgrade my server, but first I have to make sure I can get rid of the old one

Dell 1850
Dual Xeon 3.0Ghz with Hyperthreading (Pre-dual core)
7gigs ram
2 WD 15k Raptor hard drives
No raid
Single power supply

Starting price $750

Highest offer by 5pm CST today as I need to get the order in before the sale ends.

I will pay for shipping within the US, If you want it shipped to a datacenter I will load it with centos and configure an ip on it.

Server will ship by tuesday the 22nd unless there is a major delay in the replacement server.

Ok people before making bids and least do a search on ebay or something..

The cheapest 1850 chassis (no cpu, ram, hard drives) is $350
1 gig ram, $40 * 7 = $280
Processor "kits" $200 * 2 = $400
Raptors, sorry mistype there, 10k not 15k $25 * 2 = $50

So if I part it out on ebay I can get $1080 for it, $1250 if I rake people for shipping ebay style

The cheapest full 1850 on ebay is $499 with a buy it now of $695 and this box has 6 more gigs of ram and 2 procs not 1

Or maybe I am just thinking nuts and should keep it and use it as a backup box

gee, if you put something for sale, don't be surprised if someone trys to get a good deal. Any reasonable sale consists of an offer, consideration, mutual acceptance, and agreement. An offer is just that...an offer, and if there is not mutual acceptance than either counter or reject the offer.

Since you hadnt any offers yet, I was just helping to prime the pump and get your bidding going in my case I needed some but not all of the parts, and was going to buy it to part out. So it was a reasonable offer from my perspective. No disrespect intended.

Scott
