A month without resolution to Tickets at Wholesaleinternet

So,
I signed up for my small proxy server at http://wholesaleinternet.com/ for some cheap server plan that aaron was promoting on his BD. Decided to give it a try, plan was supposed to come with Remote Reboot Port access free of cost, so its now 2 months , i have no information on the same, and last ticket where actually something got done said "We will need to take your server offline for a few moments to make remote
access available. We'd like to plan this Thursday afternoon, it will only take
a few moments. If you have any objections please let us know and we'll
reschedule."

So i said move it to saturday cause proxy sites if they start loosing traffic it never comes back

Anyways that was like 2 - 3 weeks back , and yesterday i replied to same ticket after waiting..... waiting.... with this "This is just crazy, totally not acceptable, provide me with the required info ASAP."

And today i find the ticket closed without even a reply as to what was done to the whole issue of having server a remote reboot port, they have failed to deliver, so avoid them if you wish to have atleast a working support, server has been up so there is no issue with the network or hardware(so far), so a friendly warning avoid them if you dont want to wait for 1 month or more for your ticket issues to be solved (my wait continues , not sure at this point what to do ? Open another ticket with them ? )

I wish they were more like Jose's TMS , where you get quick responses for your server related questions, and good place to get server from, its been over 105 Days non-stop that server has been up and running !! No network related or hardware related hickups.

Hmm sorry for mixing thread with both -vevity and +vetivity

You have some patience Most customers would cancel without a second thought if a ticket goes unanswered a few days, let alone a whole month

Anyhow, goodluck if you decide to stick with them.

Well hardware or network issues do not exists but first sign of that and its bye bye to them. I just wished that they would actually put more efforts into their support as its rated at 0/10 by me so far

Wholesaleinternet totally surprises me given their pricing. They have been very responsive to us and have provided great service.

This is on of my servers colo with them:

[root@s1 ~]# uptime
19:42:37 up 143 days, 21:42, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

Not a blip of downtime.

I've got a $19 box with them and found support to be quick thus far, seems like they're having a remote reboot problem for several customers, and I can see that as being a legitimate complaint, but that's a hardware fault, not so much a support one.

Well who is responsible for hardware ? they are right cause i am not physically there to do anything, so providing support to such issues is actually a part of "Support". Cause they do not provide any other management or any other support, and support basically is related to hardware 99% of the times.

The issue with your reboot port is that we have 4 APCs that Ubersmith can't pull port information for. Ubersmith has, thus far, been unable to figure the problem out but has determined that it's an issue with the software. Not sure why as every other reboot port in the place works fine.

I will check into why your ticket was closed without resolution as that shouldn't happen. I've asked one of our technicians to just create you a user on the switch and give you the info so you can telnet into it while we wait for Ubersmith to resolve the problem.

In addition, for your trouble I've credited your account for a month of service. I hope this makes us friends again.

Ticket is 45306 if just wondering who this bunny is.

And why would you credit me for providing shocking support ? I still used server and bw, so i dont mind paying for same.

Friends and relations develop with time + efforts.

Cheers

You missed my point.

First, I don't just have minimally specced machines there. I colo there and have some rented machines as well and they EXCEED my expectations.

With regard to the credit you received for lack of response, I do hope you stick with your intentions to pay even though you were offered a credit

I looked you up via your e-mail address which you sent me in a PM awhile ago.

I credited you because you had not had use of a part of the service and becasue a ticket should never be closed without a resolution. That's not acceptable. I know better then most that sometimes issues take time to resolve but closing a ticket without providing a response or resolution to the customer is not something we, or anyone, should do.

We love all our customer. they're all our friends.
