Any webhosting provider should be able to host it for you, because when you connect through cgi:irc you are using your own IP to make the connection to the IRC server (if I am not mistaken).

    basketman,

A dedicated server for something of that nature? Ah, why waste your time!
    Try something like PJIRC instead:
    http://www.pjirc.com/main.php

The benefit (and downside, in some cases) is that it runs as an applet on the users local system so there's minimal load on the server. The downside is that the users local IP will be used, e.g. it isn't proxying anything.

Could be because of the channel load and the constant join/parts.

yes i had try pjirc, but many PORT 6667 that people use in my country had been blocked by they ISP so they cant chat using IRC

cgi irc is the only one alternative

i realize what make the script very slow is because each new people has joined #jakarta or left that channel make the page very slowly in the page channel #jakarta

    the page channel screenshot :

so maybe you can stop the page channel refresh to loading each new people join or left and others message in the page channel, but make sure all people that join before us are still stored

people that join the channel before us screenshot :
