We have been at Host Rocket for the past 3 years and are wanting to move because, in our opinion, their support has become terrible. I am searching for a new place we can call home for a dedicated server.
I know that this topic has been talked about many times and I have tried to search for some answers, but I wanted to get some honest feedback about what is the best and most reasonable priced dedicated host.
Our requirements are simple:
centOS 5
State side server
between $230 - $280 a month
Is there an honest site that does really good reviews on dedicated hosting?
Thanks for your time,
Mike

Hello,
What kind of server do you need (in terms of specs)?
Managed or unmanaged?

LOL, please do not laugh at me, but I really do not know what the difference is. I mean our server at Host Rocket I guess is unmanaged
It has Cpanel/WHM and they set it up, but we take care of it and any installs if needed. If managed is the way to go, I am all for it, as long as we have Root Access to the box, etc...
Hope that makes sense and I hope I dont sound too stupid!
ADDED:
We are looking to spend around $ 250 -$ 280 a month.
Must have at least 2 Gig's of RAM
at least a 200 Gig HD
100 Mbps
60 IP addy's
Cpanel/WHM
** CentOS 5 > this is a must!!!

You can look in your WHM under the Server Information link to see what stats you currently have on your server. Get an idea of what you have to get to survive then you can probably get double the server you currently have for that price you are already paying.

Hello Mike,
Not to hijack your thread, but if you wouldn't mind terribly, could you shoot me a PM about your experience with support as of late? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I think that's a feature we can only utilize as PAID members of this board. In any event, hit me up at csmanager@hostrocket.com
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
