    Not the best of reviews..

    What domain do you have hosted with them? How long have you been with them?

    I also find it odd that out of nowhere, all I am seeing is reviews about this company from people who have just registered. And not even decent reviews, just small one-liners that actually don't say anything about the company at all. I find it suspicious, I could be wrong, but I'm sticking to my opinion.

    for Scalahosting. Why do you find it suspicious? i have only used them for 2 months now and yes they are a new company and mabey you right we must be suspicious as they seems to be only good reports on them. They must be doing something WRONG to get the GOOD report

    I find it suspicious because in one single day, people start raving about this host which I didn't even know were new. Now that you mention they are new, it reaffirms my suspicions.

    Nobody said anything about them doing anything wrong?

    I will keep my opinion, and I will remain suspicious about how a new host, in one single day begins getting random positive reviews from people with hardly any posts make one-liner reviews, which doesn't actually show any real experience except from "support is good and fast", "they are the best". You give no reason or explanation or show any real experience of how they are "the best" or how the support is "good and fast".

    Such generic comments don't say anything about the reliability of the company at all except bring up suspicions such as mine regarding the authenticity of the reviews..

    Ok so i see what is happening here;

    You are innohosting and what you do is as i have noticed run around the forum and seems to run down other hosts (new hosting companies) accusing people that they are fake and that they are lying and then you leave your sig of so that people cannot see who you you.

    Wondering who the scam is here.

    Now as i am a client of Scala Hosting and i am not a fake and do not lie i want a apology from you and i also noticed Scala Hosting advertise on this forum and i feel your type of behavior towards clients of WHT is out of line

    No mate, actually.. I provide a real contribution to these forums and provide my opinion where I feel like providing my opinion. I'm not sure if you realised, but this is a forum - you are supposed to discuss? Furthermore it's a webhosting forum, you are supposed to discuss webhosts? If you're not happy with my opinion, that isn't my problem.

    As for not posting my signature, it's called being courteous. This thread is about another host, I am not including my signature as a sign of courtesy. I am leaving the spot light on this host rather than sig dropping/spamming and letting everyone know about the company I represent..

    Well it makes me mad when people go around accusing people for no reason. He always seems to chip in everywhere and i personally don't thing think claiming i am fake a "opinion"

    I didn't attack you personally, I am passing my opinion on what was posted..

    Sign up with us? I don't want/need you to sign up with us. If my reputation is going to be questioned the same way the reviews of scala hosting reviews are, then why on earth would we want you as a client?

    Yes, Google indexes a lot of sites?

    Their services maybe good. But I don't trust them. Because they are new and I think are not a real company. I could not found their company information(office address, tel/fax etc.). If you have a lot of clients and looking for a reliable reseller hosting when they cannot be a good choice.

    There seems to be one person questioning the reviews all the time on Scala and that seems to be you.

    You want me as a client because i pay in $ and that is what you need so dont talk nonsense. i have 4 reseller accounts so i am called a buyer and in my books innohosting.com is a no no as the owner here have a attitude problem.

    i mentioned to your earlier and ask you if you are calling me a lying and fake and you ignored the post.

    Sure i understand what you are saying, but before i signed up with them i ask them ? on how long they have been around and they never hid anything from me. Also i am not the only one that is saying good things about them so i feel that counts for something and from the time i signed up with them when you want something done the support is tops and for me that is something that i am not use to as most of the other resellers i used i followed there so called good reports and they all let me down.

    i do believe when somebody has done good then they must get what is due to them.

    Hmmmm maybey i will sign up with innohosting.com and check them out ......
    i will signup using my wifes name so he wont know it is me and then i will give him a good review here on WHT

    I'm not new to reselling (see http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=660812). I admit that I can't say a whole lot about scalahosting yet, but want to throw my opinion out there since one of the original comments that reviews came from newbies.

    In the 10 days I've been with them, here's what I see:
    • 76 days uptime reported by the server
    • Never above 5 CPU load on 8 CPU
    • Loads hover around 2.0-2.5
    • Great support. They moved 3 sites for me.
    • Live chat is instant gratification. I used that for presales
    questions before signing up. Nothing but praise for Larry and Vince who worked my tickets.

    I agree that reviews from newbies/low post counts could easily be a company that is posing as a new user to get a good review out there--I certainly hope that this isn't the case here. As someone suggested in my thread, I'll come back to write a review after I've been with them for a while. I just hope that scalahosting can continue to come through for me.

    The domain that i use for my main reseller account is epropnet.info and i have 58 other domains under ns1.epropnet.info on that account

    2 of my own domains is water4gasoline.com and blackgoogle.co.za all the others belong mostly to clients

    I have seen how people seem to be very concerned about hosts posting to boost there own business and it is sad to see that but i am not from Scalahosting.

    My surname is Marais. (check domains) My point is that i feel there are just some people that always seems to hijack + reports and i feel they are doing it for there own gain.

    We all had to start small

    Oh then i have a $6 a year reseller under ptlhosting.com with a indyanow.com

    Hi, i have been with scalahost for a good few months now and i am happy. I am on the cheapest plan with very good server uptime (i cant recall outages) and the support is tops.

    The live support is always available and they are very friendly and they know what they are doing. No support issues as support was ? i had related to my problems and not server problems.

    The server is very fast and at $1 for the first month to test the service what have you got to loose.
    My reseller have +- 50 accounts on and i am happy

    The only thing I wonder is what is their address. They are in UK, and their server is in USA, of course. But I want to know physical address of their company. I cannot lookup it on their website. In HostMarker, there is an address, but the phone number is so confused: 1111111111 (?)

    Since someone else brought the thread back to life...

    I'm still with Scalahosting (signed up in January 2008) and am very happy...nothing but praise for the service, except for one incident a few days back. Not bad for 8 months.

    Here's what happened: About a week ago, my site had NOTHING on it... a 404 error for the root of the domain. I logged into WHM to see what was going on, and all 5 of my sites had 0 bytes used. I checked the drives, and the HOME partition was missing. This definitely explained why my sites didn't work.

    I tried to use the live chat, and 6 people were in front of me, so I figured something was up. I was able to connect to live chat, but the session died right away. I figured that with that many people trying to chat, they must have known something was up, and left them to their work ahead of them.

    I had an email in my open outlook at 1232, and I noticed the problem at about 1500, and the sites were back up and operational by 1600. I didn't get the cause, mostly because I didn't ask. My sites were up, and that's what counted. I do know that IF a backup was used, it was no older than 0800 from that morning. So, I don't know exactly how long the outage was, it may have only been for an hour, but not longer than 3 1/2 hours.

    Other than one hiccup that was fixed in a hurry, I have nothing but praise for Scalahosting. I do wish they'd have a blog or service page or forum to post such things like this... I'd bet it would cut down a ton on some of the live support requests and tickets.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

    I am so careful with this hosting stuff because I'll use it to host my business web site (which is currently running)
    It is crucial to have a good host because I don't want to have host-hopping.

    My current host has problem with smtp server (it failed to deliver email to certain server), and they seems to ignore my ticket with reason "we have contacted the mail server, which you mentioned but no reply from them"
    At first, I could accept the reason; However, when the problem escalated and I found that my email (via their smtp) was rejected by a major ISP in my country (I know very well about the good reputation of that ISP) and they still provided the same reason, then I know that something is wrong.

    Anyhow, I am running a business and I know that it is not nice to have someone bad-mouthing about my business, hence I choose not to mention about my current hosting in this forum, even after I move to other host.
    Furthermore, apart from smtp problem, they provide good service so far.

    Hi Johannes, I have seen your consistent praise on Scalahosting, and really appreciate it for it gives me some more confidence to take it.
    However, just like some other guys, who are pessimistic about positive review from newbies, I want to know more from others beside you (who are indeed satisfied already)
