    Best Spyware Tool

    Hello,

My PC is infacted with some spywares,

one of them is "Ultimate Defender" & when I search anything on google and click on any link from the result, it redirect me to some other website, including adult sites,

Can anyone suggest me a good tool(free) to clean all the spyawres and make my PC stable?

    Best Regards

I'm an avid fan of Spybot Search & Destroy.

Agreed, I stand by Spybot and Lavasoft Ad-Aware; used in combination, they've removed all spyware on every computer I've had to deal with so far. Worked like a charm even in what I consider to be the worst-case scenario: cleaning off 1600 pieces of spyware, of which 15 were toolbars and 3 pop-up launchers, on a 128MB-RAM XP system (an experience I don't *ever* want to repeat).

I agree with the advise of using a combination of spyboot and lavasoft.

If I may take this advise a little furthur,

    (XP)
1: right click "my computer", disable system restore.

    2: click "start" >> run >>

    3: type in "msconfig"

    4: click boot.ini

    5: check /safeboot

After PC starts in safe mode run spybot, lavasoft, and finish it with a virus check.

Before starting in safe mode be sure to check for updates for all 3 products.

When complete, do not forget to turn system restore back on!!

I use a combo of services/programs, in order of preferance:
Spybot by far is the best (free)
Zone Alarm Professional w/ antivirius and spyware protection (paid, and installed on all pc's)
    Lavasoft Ad-aware (free)
    Uniblue Spy Eraser (paid)

I used all this software for a few years now, and ive seen my spyware issues go from one or two every now and then, to nearly nill. if possibly get the zone alarm. you can turn off alot of the spyware if it detects it until you can get it cleaned off. helps nicely

I have installed SpyBot & Ad-aware and scanned my PC with both of them, they found some problems and cleaned it but still there are some problems,

Still when I click on any link on the result page of google it redirects me to some other url "http://89.149.227.101/click.php..."

Is there any way to solve without re-installing windows?

    Best Regards
    Hassan

This is not a wise move rajan. If his PC gets affected back, i think he has to find out a solution such that it would be a cure. HEHEHEH

I'm using binoculars and a mouse trap with a can of Red Bull for the bait.

Give Stopzilla a try. This one has worked really well for me. Enough so that I use started using it in the work environment.

Adaware and spybot, been using them for years.

Adaware and spybot are great, but good browsing habits are the most effective antispyware.
