Editing x3 to remove kernel version etc

I am trying to remove some of the items on the left colum inside of the x3 theme such as kernel version, etc.

I found some of them in stat.html located /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x3 but when I edit the file nothing changes.

Do I have to restart the server for them to take effect?

Where do I edit to remove kernel version and those not listed in stat.html?

I think making direct changes to cPanel on a production server is quite a bad idea. If you want to do things like this you should probably setup a dev box if you don't already have one.

If I'm not mistaken, everything you want to do can be done through branding and API's that come with cPanel.

I copied the theme and only using the theme on one account on a test server. I will take a look at their API
