With the pricing being in I assumed the servers would be .uk based, but they're in Texas with rackspace by the look of it.

That'll explain the speeds to a 100mbit uk pipe.

    12:16:11 (326.25 KB/s) - `100MB_nonzero.bin' saved [104857600/104857600]

Doing some quick sums, 60TB a month is something like 200mbit/sec constantly, no?

Sorry if the plan seems too good to be true, we dont allow file only hosting however we do allow for a substiantial quantity of files to be hosted where our customers have a need to do so.

We currently dont have a single customer using more than 1.5tb of transfer a month however due to the agreements we have with our upstream provider in the form of "burstable bandwidth" we are able to offer such a package to our clients should they ever need to use it.

If you've got that kind of storage/bandwidth available I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in you providing some kind of online storage service.

Despite the slow speeds to me, if I was able to use one of these accounts as storage I'd jump at the price and spec. Obviously if it was used for storage/backup the bandwidth usage would be fairly low as well.

There is a 30 day money back policy no questions asked, further, if we operate an automatic part refund policy to clients where their websites are not available 100% of time.

Now which dollar would that be?

The fact that you omitted which particular country's dollar tells me without a doubt which country you mean, mind you.

At the moment the GBP is worth approximately 2 USD.

There is no "Sharp Array Hosting LTD" according to Companies House. Either you are a brand new LTD and so not on the "web check" database on companieshouse.gov.uk or you are breaking the law by claiming to be a LTD when you are not.

I wouldn't mind having my post deleted. This guys' advertisement has been degraded by many users. Obviously this guy pay's money to have his advertisement up at the top like that. I do feel bad that we all have to degrade this man's business. I don't feel right about it :/

So it's ok to blatantly lie if you've paid for the privilege?

He may well offer 60TB of bandwidth and 1TB of drive space. I'm not aware that any of us have used the service, or tried to use it to the advertised capacity, so that's fine.

Saying that it has a 19Gbps connection is spin of the highest order.

Pretending to be a customer and advertising yourself is pretty pathetic.

Apparently lying about the length of time your company has been in existence, and apparently lying about being a ltd company are misleading and illegal.

The fact that he's been called on all of these points but hasn't replied makes him look incredibly guilty, and adds weight to both those "apparently"s.

He may well have paid for this advertising thread, but by the thread being sticky it could seem like a recommendation of his services from WHT. Considering all the other stuff in my post, is this really the type of enterprise WHT wants to be associating with?

We don't HAVE to degrade his business. It's just fun

But seriously, he degraded his own company by lying about it, and got caught. It's only right that people highlight these things. Is this a company to be trusted?

Likewise, there's another UK based hosting-related company who post on these boards who have opted out of having their address in the whois details, under the pretence of being a non-trading individual. Not a company I'd want to do business with. What do they have to hide, I wonder?
