If a company is acquired try checking their website, it's the easiest way of finding proof:

Hmmm...that just says a new customer management system is available. That doesn't necessarily mean that's when the merger was announced or took place, though it could be.

It's a terrible decision.
1) They emailed clients new billing access - which doenst even work.
2) When you try to open a support ticket through the main site it says your domain isnt found (because the billing access itself is flawed)
3) Recovery of email password / member area pass is denied since our old surfspeedy access was never really moved correctly to the new system.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT SURFSPEEDY for existing VPS/dedicated clients except telephone (which happens to be off half the time) Emails sent to sales and support havent been replied to since 48 hours.
Terrible Acquisition and all without notice. Suddenly you get an email saying things have changed and then you cant access your own billing system.
Ive got cpanel invalid errors going nonstop all day (since 3 days) - since the acquitition news and I cant open a ticket with those guys (SurfSpeedy) since it rejects all my info (domain, email id, etc).
Talk about Unprepared movement.
PS - they increased their prices (Removed the specials) earlier...
Once again - looks like a bad move.

Shame the move isn't going good. Perhaps they didn't put enough thought into it!

They replied to tickets fairly well (though they removed live chat and telephone support is as bad as before).
They apologized for the issues - the billing center doesnt even have our packages (servers / vps or whatever) that we have. They said they are aware of the issues and will try to solve it.
So basically they didnt think of the transition and jumped into it too fast. I think they were more concentrated on the "Jan 1" change rather than the efficiency and quality of it.
Hopefully they fix up the flaws and issues soon.
