    Anything better than this?

    I have the following severs for ~33$/month

    * Processor: Intel Celeron 2.00 GHz
    * Hard disk: 160 Go IDE / SATA2
    * RAM:DDR 256 MB
    * Connection: 100 Mbps

    I need something with a bigger hard drive capacity. Ram, Connection, and Processor is fine. I am willing to pay little bit more. I would really appreciate if you could suggest me few names.

    Thanks again,

    Have you asked your current provider for a larger HD? The price is very good, so I would just ask for a larger HDD if I were you.

    Good luck,

    you are correct it is the OVH server. I also noticed that the price would go up after 2 months for some windows licensing! Any other suggestions would be really appreciated.

    Actually one more question. If I am to stream a 400kbps channel through these servers how many users can I have approximately? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Not much since you wont be able to use full 100mbs. I heard you are capped at 5mbs.

    So my guess it that : 5 x 1024kbs /400kbs ~ 13 users

    I am thinking baout buying the following service form them for streaming purpose.
    http://www.ovh.com/fr/particulier/produits/eg.xml

    Specsrocessor 2008
    Core2Duo Intel E6750
    2x 2.66GHz GHz
    L2: 4MB
    Double Heart
    Architecture 64-bit
    RAM 2008 2 GB DDR2
    Hard drive 2x 250 GB
    Type SATA2 RAID disk HARD 1
    Log 1 Gbps
    Bandwidth 1 Gbps
    Traffic included unlimited
    1 fixed IP address
    Fail-over IP addresses +4

    Can anyone offer me a better service for 109euro/month? I am also not sure about how much I will be able to push from that !gbps line?

    you are not gonna get more than 5mbit with them

    1. beside blatant lies when advertising
    2. you will get zero support
    3. if hardware break occurs (and it will since you wont even get whats advertised but cheap crap) you screwed, see point 2

    they are scum, and what the advertise is not what you get

    look around there are plenty of more reliable hosts in Europe and prices are even cheaper in US

    I just did a speed test from the server and it came out to be
    1.6 Mbpsec up and
    1.6 Mbpsec Down.

    Is this a valid method of configuring the server connection speed?

    for that current spec you have, 33$ is a very good price lol. just get your provider to slam in a bigger hd, at that price i wouldnt be complaining as for a bigger harddrive its only a few more $ to upgrade :| stick with it!
