Add the following inside the virtualhost entry of the domain.com inside httpd.conf file and restart apache.

    Code:
    Alias /readmail /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/src/login.php
Now www.domain.com/readmail will take to the squirrelmail interface.

Make sure you remove the open_basedir protection for domain.com

Thanks for the suggestion David510 but how I do go about removing the open_basedir protection for the domain name?

You can turn ON/OFF open_basedir protection for domains in WHM.

Main >> Security >> Security Center >> Tweak PHP open_basedir Security

I'd suggest you create a subdomain like webmail.domain.com for a professional look
