    1und1.de speedtest

    Hi,

I do have a new server for my favourite linux distribution, supposed to have a 100Mbit/s connection. Well, IŽd need some test results to see what to really get from that one. So it would be great if you could download partially a file
and tell me how your speed was?

    File:
    http://www.yaldm.de/download.php?file=./linuxmint/LinuxMint-4.0.iso

    thanks in advance

I got a 200kb/s from my home cable connection and a 167 max kbps from a 100mbps line in Hiveocity data center. I'd ask them to check and then reschek your speeds.

    offtopic:
Great, firefox bugged and now I'm fed up downloading the whole testfile.

For what it's worth, whois shows that the IP belongs to Strato.de, not 1und1 as the thread title mentions.
    I'm getting 6-8 MB/sec from a dedicated .de box.

I'm getting 2.7mb/s from a dedicated in california (awknet)
Really man, remove that download.php file, I just got your /etc/passwd, and could get any file I wanted on your server... Talk about a security hazard.

download.php is very unsecure, it would be VERY easy to get /etc/passwd

    Remove it ASAP

I'm getting 1.2MB/sec. This box is not at 1and1 though.

    I get 830KB/s.

Pretty much maxes out my 8mbit line though in reality I think I'm getting more like 7mbit. Never normally get above that.

Your server is highly insecure. It's still easy to get /etc/passwd
