    rkhunter error messages

I just ran 'rkhunter -c --quiet' and this is the error messages I got:

    Line:
Warning: This operating system is not fully supported!
Line: Warning: This operating system is not fully supported!
    Warning: Cannot find md5_not_known
Some errors has been found while checking. Please perform a manual check on this machine debian

Is this something I should be worried about??

    I'm running CentOS 5.

What version of rkhunter are you running?

    rkhunter -h

depends on what your running, but there should be a 'update' switch.

    http://rkhunter.sourceforge.net/ for the latest.

    Okay... I'm running: Rkhunter 1.2.7

I checked out that link and it says that rkhunter is up to 1.3.0

so... How do I update it.

I ran % rkhunter --update and it just listed the items that updates are available for.

I tried % yum update rkhunter, but that didn't work.

I ran the % rkhunter --update command 2 more times and now it says that all the items are up to date. however, the version still says 1.2.7 not 1.3.0

Download the latest and install it.

I believe (off top of my head) the latest can update it self (version) not just its database.
