For Sale: Web Hosting Business in Canada

Monthly income of $164 with 33 customers and over 60 sites (many customers have multiple sites). Everything is hosted on a windows server:

    - 18 customers have basic html sites
    $78/month
    - 5 using common Unix hosting features (PHP/Perl/MySQL)
    $25/month
    - 7 using ASP.net 1.1 or 2.0 and Microsoft SQL
    $44/month
    - 1 using JSP and Microsoft SQL
    $9/month
    - 2 are new, not sure what features they will use
    $8/month

The base package is $4/month which 75% of customers have.

I will accept offers on just the customers but the server is also available. The server is in Toronto. Colocation is about $100/month.

I am in Kitchener, Ontario. Most of my customers are in the same area or Toronto. I prefer a local buyer or one in Canada. I also prefer a buyer who offers telephone support. My customers will expect this level of service.

    The web site is here:
    http://204.15.198.202

    I can also include:
    - the business name and domain names
    - TuCows domain name reseller account
    - custom written control panel (in ASP.net/C#)
    - the server (as mentioned above)
    - Win2003 Web Edition license
    - everything else to make this a turnkey hosting business

Please ask your questions or make your offers in the forum.

    A few questions:

1). What are the current server specifications that you are hosting these customers on? Primarily CPU, RAM and Hard Drive specs.

2). Also, what are the current hosting package specifications that you are providing customers with (disk space & bandwidth p/m)?

3). How long have the base customers been with you?

4). How long have the 2 new customers been with you?

5). What type of support are you offering? Are you the sole man running the web hosting business or do you employ others?

6). Do the customers know you are selling out?

7). Lastly, how much are you looking to get for the customers?

    Thanks,

    Kim

1). What are the current server specifications that you are hosting these customers on? Primarily CPU, RAM and Hard Drive specs.
1U Chassis, P4 2.8 Ghz, 1 MB ECC RAM, 30 GB 10K RPM Hard Disk (Pair in RAID 0)

2). Also, what are the current hosting package specifications that you are providing customers with (disk space & bandwidth p/m)?
$4/month for 50 MB disk space
each additional 100MB block of disk space is $1/month
    additional sites $1 each/month

3). How long have the base customers been with you?
I have added customers gradually since 2003. All but about five have been with me more than a year. About 75% are from 2005 & 2006.

4). How long have the 2 new customers been with you?
    Less than a month.

5). What type of support are you offering? Are you the sole man running the web hosting business or do you employ others?
I offer telephone and email support. I average an email or two a week, and a phone call every couple weeks. Most customers email questions.

6). Do the customers know you are selling out?
    No.

7). Lastly, how much are you looking to get for the customers?
What's normal? One year revenue? You can make an offer.

Are you looking to sell to a company that's Toronto based?

Seeking a 1 year revenue as the BIN price is definitely reasonable. Is the server being colocated or rented somewhere?

If you have IM, I'd love to speak with you directly. Thanks.

Are you looking to sell to a company that's Toronto based?
Many of my customers would prefer to deal with someone local which could mean Toronto. I prefer a buyer in southern Ontario but that's not essential.

Is the server being colocated or rented somewhere?.
The server is with Priority Colo, at 151 Front Street.
