    Gaming on East Coast

Hey, I am looking for a good company to colocate for hosting gaming servers. I would like to have the Data Center in the Metropolitan area but preferably NOT in NYC due to the fact on traffic. I understand most data centers are located there but I would rather not have to commute to NYC.

Since it is gaming, I know I need premier bandwidth. I know internap has a good reputation. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay and how their services are?
    Thanks for any help,

    Hi SpartanFrog-

For East Coast outside of NYC you'll probably be wanting to look at New Jersey or Ashburn, Virginia. There are lots of fantastic providers in either area, so you really have your pick.

Internap has a respectable network, you're definitely right in thinking that a lot of gamers are generally happy with their service. There are other carrier options as well that would likely do you just as well, I'm a big advocate of Mzima, and Peer1 I've heard has a pretty decent network as well (and I believe even some colocation facilities in Ashburn).

    Best of luck.

Hey thanks. I was looking at Mzima and noticed gamers seem to love their networks. Does anyone know any Data Centers that use that network? I live in Central Jersey so really Ashburn is slightly farther then what I really want.
Also, how much could I expect to pay with Internap.
    Thanks for helping .

NJ,PA,VA in that order if you don't want to be in NYC. I don't blame you either.

Chances are that ProRack has not seen this thread since the original reply, and possibly may never look at it again. You'll have better luck sending a PM.
