    DB2-C on a Openvz vps

    Hi!
Has anybody tried this..and actually got it to work?

Seems there seems to be serious memory allocation problems. I suspect it's a vps-only thing. On a normal server..I would not have these problems. I have done everything that can be done..short of recompiling the kernel.

Ideas? Informix Dynamic server shares the same problems, btw.

    >>>I'd also like to see if Oracle is doable as well

    Thanks

    Hi!
No..doesn't even bother any of the allocations. This is a huge vps..with a ton of resources. No..I have an idea there is something conflicting with the actual way open is allocating memory itself to the vps's.

I knew this would be challenging..when google comes up with zip..you can bet not many people have succeeded doing it..or choose not to share how much time they have invested trying to get the darn thing to work (cough).

Well..at least I'm a expert on kernel settings now.

I wish it were that easy! Free shows plenty of RAM available as well.
