that is why I said "the ones that would join." Also would depend on which ones I let in as well... would not have 100s of companies... certain ones... maybe even tied to a payment system.... all depends... just throwing stuff out there.

    How about this one:

I'd ban all Premium members... No more "upper class" status elitist attitude... I’ll actually do them a favor… this way they can go forum their own forum….

    lets see..

    1. Webhost Verification System (verify actual company for a fee)
    2. Verified members blog.. Members that are verified hosts can post industry news and tips. (Moderated slashdot style)
    3. Charge a small fee for posts in the offers forums
    4. Setup a Credit system where verified hosts are rewarded with credits to use in the offers forums when they are published in the blog (see 2)
    5. WHT Live! Start an internet talk show with audience participation from the IRC channel.. Prizes from show sponsors, etc..

Thats just the tip of the iceburg...

I'd make some very positive changes, but I cant explain them because they are too technical for the most of ya, and would only serve to have SWR scratching his head thinking "WTF did Webdude just say??"

...alright, who was the smartazz who changed the smileys???
I got like a jumping jack santa up there now.. at least put Mrs Smiley Santa under him, sheesh..

    What did Webdude say?!

I believe his suggestions is still in rough draft stage.

BTW, if I am in charge of WHT, I would:

    1. Introduce a request forum, where only premium members can reply to it.
    2. Charge all advertising signatures for commercial purposes with a fee.
    3. Limit new membership.
    4. Have more mods to keep WHT clean and tidy.
    5. Cancel the policy where premium members have 2X post.
    6. Create more privileges for premium members, especially the offer forum.
    7. Create WHT$. It can be used as an alternative to U$. However, a 100 post = WHT$1, and a U$2 = WHT$1. People can buy WHT$1 using real world money and use it to pay for premium memberships, signature fees, etc.
    8. etc etc etc...

The biggest and one of the first changes I would make is charge to post in the advertising section. You have NO idea how much that section urks me -- to death! It is simply over run by hosts and I highly doubt that many people use it anymore to read offers (unless you're running a campaign and your ads link back to there). I think by charging for a post, clients would be more targeted more efficiently and the fly-by-nighters could easily be eliminated from the industry (by oh say, 20%).

Secondly, more Premium Member features! Now, I'm not saying we should give them a Visa Black (but that would be nice *cough cough*) but access to some more populated forums, some sort of "secret site" *giggles like a little girl* with all kinds of nifty gadgets, gismos and knick-knacks that have yet to be discovered by any other man kind them the premium members and those who put it there *pants loudly* and just something *closes left eye and makes "OK" sign and makes a tick noise* reeeeeeal naaaaaaaaice.

Oh yeah and lastly: more smilies!!!

I'd do everything I could to make the forum what it was a couple years ago when it was much better. Perhaps salary certain oldbies to stick around and keep the forum interesting. What happened to the good ol' days?

Edit: PS.. We'd have two admins. SWR, and ub3r. That's it.
