Optimisation of server

I have 2 video sharing site sitting on a single quad core server with 2gb ram. One site has around 200 users online half the time and the other has around 100 users online half the time.

I need some issues to be solved.

Firstly, I think I need Faad and Faac to be settled as my .3gp are converting without sound.

Secondly, I need some one to really assist me in optimising my server to support these 2 sites. eg: apache and sql optimisation. If required, I may even upgrade ram and cpu but this someone has to advice me accordingly.

My server load as per WHM is around 0.6 - 0.7 and memory usage is about 40%. However, the sites are loading not very fast, esp those with sql quries. Static pages and video loads fast after the page load and downloading via ftp is also doing very well. Thus I suspect the slow down is due to the server not optimised.

I have tried 2 programmers to do up the site but both have failed. The first did the optimising and was well for the first few hours but subsequently httpd keeps failing almost every other hour. The second programmer tried but the site seems to slow down even more.

Please reply if you are confident of doing the job. I am looking at a long term solution to this as in to manage my server and other servers to come. Payment will be made via paypal if these 2 problems are solved. But payment will only be made 3 days after project is completed. I need to test out the site before making any payment.

Had a look and given you my feedback. Watch and wait...and if you want to increase usage access and let some more ram go (cuz 40% is nothing)...we can continue. Just let me know anytime.

Best Regards,

Server optimisation and hardening done! But I am still on the look out for some one who can solve my video conversion woes. I may need ffmpeg etc to be reinstalled or something in order to get the video conversion in place. .3gp is still not giving me the sound and I need them to be converted desperately!

It sounds that ffmpeg was not compiled with AMR for 3gp support.

Left a PM.
