Problems Sending Emails
I am currently a reseller's plan to cater a small number of clients(3-4)Mostly friends and families
They are saying they keep getting error messages like the below while sending out emails :-
An error was detected while processing a file of BSMTP input.
The error message was:
421 Lost incoming connection
The SMTP transaction started in line 0.
The error was detected in line 3.
0 previous messages were successfully processed.
The rest of the batch was abandoned.
421 Lost incoming connection
Transaction started in line 0
Error detected in line 3
Does this mean its time I changed my provider? I have been using their service since March 2007.
Thanks!

The error message was:
421 SMTP incoming data timeout - message abandoned
The SMTP transaction started in line 0.
The error was detected in line 3.
0 previous messages were successfully processed.
The rest of the batch was abandoned.
421 SMTP incoming data timeout - message abandoned
Transaction started in line 0
Error detected in line 3
As a result, the emails are not being delivered

Have you tried contacting your host? It sounds like the email is not processing which could be for a number of reasons.

Sounds mainly like the email MTA system has a broken line of coding or syntax error. Ask them (dedicated owners) to look into it.

Guys,
You're not gonna believe what my host replied me.Check out the following :-
The reason is in the response below :
Original address: evosoft@streamyx.com
Diagnostic code: lmtp;550 5.2.2 Delivery failed: Over quota
The receivers mailbox is over quota
If we need to continue investigating email items that do not pertain to us we will have to start charging for time spent. You do this often and generally it has nothing to do with us. Techs spent time researching this info for you, so it will become billable in the future.

I see nothing related between Over quota failure with the other 2 error messages.
Usually what you should do is create a test email account and send test email to/from third party email (gmail/yahoo).
That will help a lot in troubleshooting email error and save time for both of you and the host.PremiumReseller.com Hyper-V SSD VPS USA London Singapore

yes.......
create a e-mail like test@yourdomain.com
and another create any e-mail on yahoo, hotmail, gmail.Send mail from test@yourdomain.com to all yahoo, gmail, and hotmail IDS.
See..if U can receive those e-mails.
If U still can't see..than send details to your host.

I'm shocked that your host had the never to say that to you. If you did ask alot of question that still gives no reason to respond in that type of manner. If you don't mind what is your host name?

This is really frustrating!!!
The very same client is having the same delivery failure error message again :-
> An error was detected while processing a file of BSMTP input.
> The error message was:
>
> 421 SMTP incoming data timeout - message abandoned
>
> The SMTP transaction started in line 0.
> The error was detected in line 3.
> 0 previous messages were successfully processed.
> The rest of the batch was abandoned.
> 421 SMTP incoming data timeout - message abandoned
> Transaction started in line 0
> Error detected in line 3
What seems to be the problem here? The client or my webhost?
I think its really time to change my webhost.Any good recommendations?
In the meantime, what excuse/reason should I tell my client?
He's getting very irritated as the days goes by
Thanks in advance!

I remember a bug in spamassassin caused an uproar like this. It's been sometime, but maybe something to have your host investigate

Guess what folks, here's the latest problem ;-

By the way, that error message tells us that the problem lies with the sender/recipient? It was the sender who made the complaint to me but in the error message at the top, it indicated the recipient's email address.

Hello,
I sent another reply. I'm not sure why you didn't receive the first one, but the original PM was pasted.
