Wait grrr. i didnt think of this... Is it a one time fee? I mean , if i got someone to get a package from you for $25 or whatever. Do they pay that a month? or a year ? and also, do i get my 200% every month or one time per client.
I don't think it's a bad idea. Risk? Yes, but not a bad idea. If Jeremy can provide excellent support to these clients referred. In six months time, he'll make the commission back plus some profit. Following that six month period, he has struck gold. He's not only getting clients for years to come, but he's eliminating the need for advertising on hosting directories at astronomical CPM rates.
Good luck, hope it works out!

People seem to be quick to jump to the conclusion that if you lose a little on a new client now that you'll be ruined. Styles is right - a few months from now he has himself setup pretty nicely. He doesn't have to keep doing this forever either. Once he gets a nice set of customers the referrals will keep him going and then he can go down to 100% or 50% or whatever he wants. Sometimes you have to spend some money to make a lot;-)
He's really only giving away 1 month free to his customers, if a customer signs up for a $7.95 account, he pays YOU $7.95 out of his own pocket, the next month the customer pays him another $7.95, he break even, then whatever after that..is his profit. so instead of offering his customer 1 month free..hes using you to get him customers. not a bad idea....If i have the money..probably copy you!

A great way to get rich
Nice idea but there are ways of getting past this problem. Obviously if an affiliates signups start falling through or if the name on the credit card that is used to sign up is the same as an affiliate, etc, it will be evident what is happening. It does sicken me that anyone would have to even think about this problem in the first place however. This is no worse than stealing from a store. Of course some people don't have a problem with that either so...
I'm pretty sure anyone managing an affiliate program would discover this. I just pointed out it was a good way to make money if everything worked without trouble.
But in theory it does open up to some problems but as long as batcavenet use enough time to screen every signup I'm sure he will get many new customers since I haven't seen anyone else with that good of a percentage of each sale. Good luck with it
