I am pretty new to this forum and am really starting to like this place.
But the reason I am opening this thread is not to praise WHT and the immense amount of information on the web hosting industry lying in here...
I opened this thread to seek advice on getting some premium hosting for my files.
I recently signed up with [[file-services]].com
they're fairly new but I am really loving their services.
I also want another "backup" host to offer a mirror for downloading of files.
I am planning to launch an open source software very soon, 95% of the work is done.
It is a 150 MB compilation that I will be offering users to download(too early to discuss anything here..it is a surprise for you all
)
Anyways...i am expecting about 100-200 downloads daily...
and I would not want to waste the premium bandwidth on my primary server and risk slow page loads by offering the file for download off my main server!
Hence i am looking for a web host who specializes in file-hosting.
PS: no, i do not want to host my stuff on rapidshare for free.
I signed up with [[file-services]].com for their $49 package.(that's the only one available currently)...
and i want another host too...
NO, there's nothing wrong with [[file-services]].com, they have nice servers, and i got pretty good speeds while downloading during the test runs. Their support is also perfectly fine and fast.
In fact, I couldn't be more happier to find them.
But the problem is, I want another web host specializing in file-hosting to offer a download mirror, just in case if FS's lines are saturated at a certain time...or if they're facing some downtime problem.
A non-US host would be preferred since FS is USA based.
So it would be better to have something for my EU users too.
Once again, this thread is for a BACKUP host in case of unforeseen circumstances. I AM NOT SAYING THAT FS IS A BAD HOST...THEY'RE REALLY GOOD...
NOTE: once again, a host from EU would be preferred

1 GB webspace
about 1 TB data transfer(500GB+ minimum)
budget: $50-100
