I have a RaQ4i and since I will be the only person on the server I would like to allow myself root acess when using FTP. Can someone tell me how to do that? I read that you can do it by taking "root" out of the ftpusers file but that did not work for me (even after a reboot).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would advise against FTPing as root. It is extremely dangerous, and not a good practice.

You are risking your server for that. If you really want to upload some system files to your box, try to upload it to the "web" folder, and move it in telnet.

You might be the only person now. But who knows if you ftp'ing as root, there won't be another guy popping out?
