Beware of doing business with X1Services

Earlier, I posted here regarding them:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...ght=x1services

Just to sum it up, they cancelled by account exactly 46 days after I opened up the account. 45 days is the limit to open a ticket with paypal regarding scams.

So I confronted them here after getting nowhere with their non-existant support.

I got my account enabled.

Now they have throttled my account to 20kb/s. I had a few friends and colleagues test it as well to make sure it was indeed throttled and not just my internet. This was an account that was going at 800kb/s earlier before this incident.

Any ticket I open up now is closed without reply.

These guys are scam artists. They are probably going out of business and I urge others to consider them carefully before giving them your money.

They are also known as circavps.

Are you finding other people also had a similar experience?
Or was it limited to you as far as you can tell?

eclouds: It was from the exact same person, can't find the thread, but he appears to be having issues with his local configuration that we have tried to work out with him. We have tried from mutltiple Operating Systems and Browsers and can't duplicate his issue.

Incognito1: We have offered you a refund for your remaining days already, so again, where do you get 'scam' out of this? Your account was not throttled in any way and you refuse to work with us by providing any kind of information regarding your exact errors.

And again, this is regarding our "VPN Service" and has nothing to do with VPS's.

Well canceling an account paid thru PayPal, only 24 hours after the possible return of money thru PayPal is only slightly conspicuous

Ah, thank you for making that point r00ter. I was confused by his earlier point mentioning the number of days after which he couldn't access his account. As stated in the earlier thread, this was simply coincidence, glad that was pointed out.

Heh - okay then.

Also, I don't believe they would intentionally throttle your network speed. That would only make a larger hassle, as you would then do as you've done - and complain about it.. So, if they were going to do something diabolical as you've here profiled them, why network cap
