From what I could gather, it appears they just change the IP of outgoing mail server to work around blacklists? If so I don't believe it is anything new? Or am I missing something else?

Maybe she's just wondering about if any eventual issues arose during their implementation of it.

As a shared hosting user, I noticed no issues, if that is worth anything.

Hi..thanks to both of you for your reply...

IH-Rameen, I believe you are completely correct, it looks like they just change the outgoing email IP when an existing IP has been identified as blacklisted. From what it looked like on their forum, they just implemented it in the past few weeks, I think.

ldcdc-I was just wondering if anyone feels it's working sufficiently - ie, noticeable improvements w/ email, etc.

Basically, I'm weighing the choice between HG and Downtownhost....

Thanks again!

It should work fine..

We have started to do the same to our systems as of 2 weeks ago and it works without any issues. It shouldn't affect your hosting or uptime, nor your email. Definitely a major plus.

I have not faced any issue (I use it daily to send and receive mails). Neither my clients have reported anything.
