You need one IP for name-based hosting. That is all unless you plan to use your own DNS servers. Even if you do, you shouldn't be concerned right nwo as it doesnt' have anything to do with installing PLESK.
To install PLESK just go to www.plesk.com click downloads, download the right version then run ./install.shRonny Fang

Why are you installing plesk?
Why isn't your provider doing it for you?
Just a question.
It seems you are new here with many questions. I would strongly advise building a relationship with a good provider who offers service and support as you learn your way in the business. In fact, a reseller account is probably a preferred way to start if you are seeking to resell hosting services.
Most of us would be glad to provide you advice on the boards here, but your questions are in all directions and it is difficult to get a feel for what you are attempting to accomplish.

Incognito = thanks for what you have said. the place the i am going to be hosting at doesnt do anything with control panels. but they have the best network that i have found for colocation. plus they are local for me so that helps. when i get the server in a week and get it set up then i think ill be on my way. also i got all of my questions answered what i dont understand is how the dns setup works in plesk. that is what i am looking for.
thanks
