I really wanted to go with rackshack but everyone i talk to almost says they suck...
Fastservers seems nice, but rackshack pricing is a little better on certain plans..
the thing you have to remeber about rackshack is that they offer low cost dedicated server solutions. So logic says they are going to get the customers who are just looking at the price and nothing else. I am sure not all of thier customers are like that but some are. These are the people you see posting the horror stories on the boards because they don't understand its a totally unmanaged dedicated solution.
never used whm/cpanel, but on their site there is no mention of 3 levels,, unless i just missed it.. what control panel would the reseller use? cpanel? I dont see any management features on the standard reseller demo? Or would they be using WHM.. and in that case what is the control panel for the admin or is it the same for both the admin and the reseller?
CPANEL/WHM manager does have 3 Levels of Administration. The WHM is the tool that allows you to create a Reseller Level for your customers and assign them resources in various fashions. The design of this is very flexible allowing many different options on what you want Resellers to be able to have access to in terms of functionality and resources.
You are right this is not well documented, but many different hosting companies have business models built around the Reseller Functionality and have been using it quite extensively.

Well considering im a newbie at this and just starting out with onhand experience with servers i dont have much know how on how to manage everything myself.. im looking for a company that can set me up and i wont have to worry about anything but administration,, with that in mind.. who's the closest to meeting that goal??
And to ap surge... if WHM is what i would be using and the reseller would be using CPanel,, what does the client of the reseller use cpanel as well?
