Mod_Evasive - Blocking IPs manually

Hello ,

Is there a way to block ips with mod_evasive by adding the ips to the mod_evasive configuration file?

Thanks in advanced,

Mod_evasive detects attacks by creating an internal dynamic hash table of IP to URIs pairs based on the requests received.

So if you need to block IP's statically, you will need to employ Iptables or apf , depending on your firewall software

Why would you need to use mod_evasive for blocking IP when you can block through iptables?

Guys... don't forget via .htacesss

Deny from 192.168.1.0

which might be easier for someone who doesn't have root access.
