Anyone tried wiredtree's hybrid dedicated?
Has anyone tried wiredtree's hybrid dedicated server? It just sounds like a large VPS to me more than a dedicated. How does its performance compare with just buying an server such as an AMD X2 with 1GB RAM?
How many users per machine do they put on one of these things?

I think you should contact them about how many per machine.

Yes, it is a VPS
Hybrid is fine but yes, it is not a dedicated server, just a virtual private server (VPS) with high density, large disk space and a lot of RAM. Normal VPS can be one of 100 ones on a virtualized dedicated server, hybrid in generally are only two or four VPS in the same box. The referred AMD box offer its total CPU, in the hybrid CPU is shared with another(s) hybrid. But in many cases an hybrid is much more fast, secure and reliable, because is hosted in a monster server, with 4 CPUs, 12GB RAM, SA SCSI Raid 10 and more...including total automatic free backups. For me, personally. betwee this AMD and the Wired Tree hybrid I prefer the hybrid (for web hosting).
