    Hosting Software

    Are there any software packages that can be installed on a server for complete newbies? For people with absolutely no server or linux knowledge.. what type of software prog.s would fit this descrption if any??

    I dont want to mess with any programming, commands, scripts, etc...

    There tools that can help you do things easily. But if you don't understand what you need to do to achieve something, they won't be of any use.

    E.g.: if you don't know that what you need is adding a virtual host to apache, the tools won't help you.

    Besides, the tools aren't good for troubleshooting. You will probably be on your own if something bad happens.

    However, if you have the basic understanding of at least the concepts, a tool can be useful in getting started, but you will need somebody to assist you.

    I would recommend a cPanel/WHM server for any beginner; it is a lot better for installing add-ons like ASP or Java.

    The software automatically update’s it’s self every night if needed.
