I am looking forward to following hosting environment to test some application as i wish to install drupal on windows

Apache 2.x

PHP 5.x

MySQL 4.1 or MySQL 5.0 (preferably 5.0)

Windows Server 2003

Is it possible to get this in in VPS or I have to go for dedicated hosting?

yes its posible on vps you would however need to install apache php mysql yourself

what is your budget for VPS? for a decent windows one you will want to look around the $50 mark, Apache is something you will need to install yourself as windows comes with IIS.

there isnt a best thers only the best for you take a look in offers section get a shortlist then search here and google for reviews or get yourself a shortlist then post a thread asking for anyone with experience then search google

well its webhosting industry. you may differentiate with the services that each webhost provides but regarding server OS and the third party softwares they all are same , its you who will need to deal with it and to manage it. Still support this aspect makes a lot difference between webhost or vps companies.

Drupal works fine on IIS6, apache isn't needed. Just make sure they are running php with CGI and not ISAPI for drupal. I found that there are many issues with Drupal when running in ISAPI mode for PHP5.
