Server running CentOS 4.5... Upgrading to new version?

Hi everyone,
I help administer a CentOS 4.5 server that runs cPanel. Unfortunately, I have very little experience with CentOS, as my preferred Linux distribution is Debian (which I'm using on my personal servers). I recently noticed that there is a CentOS 5.0 release available and I've got several questions about it:
  1. Do I have to upgrade the server from CentOS 4.5 to 5.0? When will CentOS 4.5 become unsupported?
  2. How do I perform the upgrade? Is there something like apt-get dist-upgrade on Debian?
  3. Will the upgrade cause any problems with cPanel?

Thanks
- Daniel

1. Not necessary, if your system is secure and runs stable on version 4.5, why botherupgrading?
2. There is a workaround but it can't be done with yum (something like apt-get in Debian) just with 1 command
3. It might, that's the thing with upgrades, you always have a risk. Is there any special reason why you want to upgrade?
