Local Web Host Forums In Your Countries
Hi,
Just curious how many "popular" web hosting forums are out there in the other countries? I am in Singapore and so far the most popular one is
www.sgwebhostingtalk.com
Do your countries have a such a forum as well?
Maybe we can do a poll on the most popular web hosting forums ard.
Lets consolidate a list for our users so next time we can look for hosting offers in the local community!
Cheers

I have seen some in Australia and Malaysia etc, but I do not think that it is vital, such forums, tend to have low membership base and lots of spamming. Rather to concentrate on WHT where they are enough membership base to ensure most countries are covered.

Just curious does most of the users just come to webhostingtalk? This is a great forum but most of the post I saw are mainly for USA. Still looking to see any good hosting forums in Asia.

Yeap WHT is the best. It is well maintained, I mean we tried our best to clear the spammers, the wannabe spammers and the sorts to keep the forum as objective as possible. Till now I have not seen the equivalent or near equivalent not to mention Asia.
While Asia is a growing market, typical hosting forums sizes are small, being small most forum moderators allow their users to blatantly spam their forums. It is a typical lemons issues altogether.

There do not seem to be any decent Asian hosting companies, so everyone ends up using the same webhosts

but most of the IT users are not really exposed to this forums. This maybe one of the reasons why I hardly see much asian content over here.

Dutch WHT is very popular, the same is with Aussie WHT. I know there is one or two decen UK forums. South African guys are trying to orginize good community as well. But that's it. There are no too many local web hosting forums that do well...

I think it serves the industry better to have one central community, anyway. Sure, regional forums are great, but there would be the tendency for regional disconnect if any of them grew larger. As it stands, the industry is (believe it or not) fairly united. Remove a community such as WHT, and I think you would run into trouble.
