    UK Reg IP Nameservers

Yesterday I bought another domain name from UKReg.com.

My websites are hosted by HostGator and have had no problems previously with nameservers on UKReg. However, this time I have registered a .com domain instead of a .uk domain.

When adding this to my cPanel on HostGator I am given three IP addresses to add as nameservers. UkReg don't allow IP addresses in the nameservers.

Could someone tell me how I go about amending the nameservers so that they are the IP addresses?

    Thanks,

    David

You may configure nameservers as your private nameservers on the domain as ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com and register those nameservers with IP at the registrar. You can do this by adding the following to the zone file of your domain.

    ns1 IN A IP1
    ns2 IN A IP2

    Hi David
If the waiting is too exciting , watch the grass grow, it's more fun & less stressful
